New wearable gadget will include a Google Health subscription

According to 9to5Google, Google is preparing to launch a new wearable device called Fitbit Air. The screen-free fitness band will be positioned as a direct rival to Whoop-style products.

The Air name points to the device’s slim, lightweight design. Fitbit has previously used a similar label within its accessories range.

The software model is changing in parallel. Fitbit Premium is expected to be renamed Google Health, while the AI coach features will be separated into a service called Google Health Coach.
